Congregational
Care
The KirkWood Church
is a Presbyterian
(U.S.A.) congregation that was chartered in 1987. We are a
part of the Presbytery
of Eastern Virginia. Our members are found to be active in
all phases of community life. Though we walk many different roads,
we strive to support and encourage one another along the way.
Small
Groups
• Men's Breakfasts
-
Breakfasts are held each month on the last Friday of the month
at 7:00 A.M. Come join in th fun, fellowship, and study. These
are held in the fellowship hall of the church.
• Sarah Circle -
This is a women's group that meets monthly on the second Tuesday
of the month at 10:00 A.M. All women are welcome for a time of
Bible Study and fellowship. This is then followed with more fellowship
time and lunch.
• Martha Circle -
This is a women's group that meets at the church the 1st and 3rd
Thursdays of each month at 7:00 P.M. All women are welcome for
at time of Bible Study, fellowship, and prayer.
• Iron Men -
This is a men's group within the church that meets the 2nd Friday
of each month at 7:15 P.M.
• KirkWood Silver -
This is a group of seniors that get together monthly for fellowship.
This group meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 11:30 A.M.
• Prayer Warriors -
This group meets each Friday morning at 7:00 A.M. to pray together
for the needs of the congregation, the church, the community,
and the world.
• Discipleship Groups -
These discipleship groups meet for Bible Study, fellowship, and
mission projects. We have groups meeting on each night Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. There is also a daytime
group that meets Thursday mornings.
• Softball Team -
This group will start again next spring. Check back for
information after the first of the year.
